TOUR OF THE WHITE MOUNTAINS. Pinetop, AZ

We just did Tour the White Mountains.  It's in our hometown of Pinetop, Az.   It's really what mountain biking is about.  Riding, Camping, favorite beverages and just hanging out with people who enjoy cycling.  Be it a Carbon S-Works or Single speed steel frame, the freaks are out.   Cyclists are Weirdos to a certain degree and that what makes us a fun group of people.  You can't just push a gas pedal to make a bike go.  You have to earn every pedal.  It looks easy on the mountain dew commercials to huck off cliffs and pedal uphills.     But it's not, we like to inflict joyous pain on ourselves.   Anyways I went off on a tangent.  But moral of the story is, go do a local mountain bike race.  It's still very grass roots feeling and non-corporate BS.  And if you want an adventure, come to Pinetop, AZ--no one really knows about it outside of Arizona.
